i had one or two lp's by these guys, p-machine and several claudie
bruken singles and one of the guys singles to back in the 80's.
thinking about ztt (trevor horn's, the guy from buggles, record
label), they label they where on, i'm tempted to go check out andrew
poppy again and see if i can get a tag on him this time around.
Was alright, didn't grab me and shake me or anything.

'80s, eh? until I ran into Front 242 and Skinny Puppy at the end of
the decade, I was wandering lost after the death of early-'70s prog-
rock, boning up on classical etc., but did listen to some pop/rock,
mainly Eurhythmics, Thompson Twins, Kate Bush, some The Cars--always
liked what I heard of The Police but for some reason never collected
'em--ditto The Clash . . . .

i like them all, especialy kate bush, but wasn't over fond of the
thompson twins, thought a couple of songs were ok, something about
them just didn't work right.

I thought they had the best musical colors of any of 'em.

And were quirky/funny . . . .

Naturally, their big hits were the 5uc|<0r35+, but that's typical.

its like everything, it all comes down to taste. ones tastes also
change, 25 years ago i listend to jeff becks guitar workshop and
didn't like it, now, if it's on the mp3 player, i'll play it several
times in a row.

i'll begrudgingly agree.

my ol' mate, eugene, he said most of the records he bought by a band
were the ones that didn't make it into the chart or charted low. he
found most of the big hits sucked as far as he was conderned. though
he did adore squeeze.
